Water Snake Baby

This picture says it all, isnt it?
Yes! We are pregnant! Expecting a water snake baby in May 2013!

Well, what can I say? Of cos I'm delighted! Elated! Excited!...ok...mixed reaction when I actually saw those double lines on the pregnancy test kit. As you can see, I double-tested it and both came out pretty clear! So ya, no doubt about the results.

Reason for my mixed reactions when I saw the results on the test kits is because we have actually tried for baby #3 for almost a year. Yea...since Nov 2011 to be exact.
Close family members and friends who know me well know that I've always harboured a strong desire to have a daughter to call my own. But with the arrival of Roy (my 2nd son) 4 years back, I was adamant that "This is it! I've accepted the fact that I'm a mom of 2 boys and the reality of having a girl will not materialise." I have decided there and then that we will not try for #3 and we should just be glad with 2 boys. Now dont get me wrong...I'm truly blessed and happy to have my 2 lovely boys and life has been good and I'm contented with 2 boys! Well.....until mid 2011 when I suddenly had the strong urge to give myself another shot for baby #3. Yes! we were of cos hoping for a girl and honestly, we've tried all the tips and advices we could get in order to do our part in getting a baby girl. And of cos, we prayed hard for our wish and leave everything in the hands of God Almighty.

So project baby #3 started in Nov 2011 and it was disappointment after disappointment, month after month and we were sort of on the verge of giving up when my period came every month. I was pretty devastated the first few months when we started trying and that it was single-line every single month for about 7 times. Well, they always say God works His magic when you least expect Him to be. And true enough......the miracle we've been waiting for came true on Sept 27, 2012 when we le ast expected it to happen!

Baby #3 was conceived in Aug 27, 2012 and my EDD should be May 20, 2013.

Well, my first trimester wasnt a smooth sailing one and I've had my fair share of turbulence and roller coaster rides to the clinic and hospitals! Yes....even the hospitals in Auckland, NZ. There were some incidents where I had some bleeding which weren't supposed to happen but they did. First was in Oct when we had to cancel our trip back to Tgg for a wedding celebration. Then again in Auckland when I was at 14 weeks that we had to rush to a private hospital where half day was gone doing some tests and scan to show that my baby was fine.

After all those traumas, I can quite safely say that baby is finally settling down pretty ok now that I'm entering my 2nd trimester. I'm at week 22 now as I write on this post. Baby is moving and kicking happily inside me and what can I say.........I cannot be happier!

On another happy note, the date 12-12-12 plays another significant role in our lives too!
Cos it was my scheduled appointment for my follow-up checkup and the scan showed that we are expecting a GIRL! Well, doc said it's only 98% confirmed but we were elated nevertheless! You can say I was smiling from ear to ear upon hearing the news.......so was daddy!... our prayers and wish are coming true....soon! Well of cos I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the scan is accurate and we can finally have some touches of pink in the house :)
And of cos Daddy couldnt be happier as well!

More on the progress of Baby #3 soon!

Phuket 2012

I have a confession....

Eversince the existence of social media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and loads more, I have been lazy in updating my blog here. My daily access to these social media overtook my access into my blog. Hence the rare posting here. I have again and again vow to be active as before but somehow I just find it a hassle to log into my blog from my laptop when the access to social media is much more hassle free and convenient via my iphone and ipad.

Anyway, I hope to be active again here for I still believe tht whatever that is posted here would serve a much treasured memory that those posted through social media....

So, YES! we went for another vacation in August during the Raya celebration and this time it was to Phuket. It was our 2nd visit to Phuket (the first in 2009) and we truly enjoyed ourselves there....albeit some unexpected and unwanted super-natural incidents happened during our stay. SO much so hubby vowed not to come back to Phuket ever! I'll just take it as him being exaggerating......

As cheeky as always.....

Family affair

Wedding - not only it's a special occasion for the groom and bride, but also for close family members and friends. A wedding is a time where we all gather together for some bonding and strengthening of family ties and friendships. It is through weddings that we meet family members and friends whom we hardly see on our normal routine.
I, for one love attending weddings (especially in a family)...it's not so much of the food and the dressing up (ok...that is also one of the factors why I love weddings) hehe.....but more on the anticipation of getting to meet most of my family members whom I dont get to see very often in my daily life.

One wedding which I enjoyed recently is of a 2nd cousin's which took place on 2 June, 2012.
Ok..I gotta admit that I'm not close at all to this cousin of mine cos we hardly see him and he's not even based here in Msia. But that's besides the point. Our parents are close to each other and we sometimes hang out at his parents' place just for dinner or over a few glasses of drinks. So when the big news came that William is finally tying the knot, we were all excited and looked forward to this big day. Not only for him, but also a chance for all our family members to gather and reconcile with each other.

It was indeed a pleasant and enjoyable day. It started off with a very traditional wedding ceremony in the morning, followed by a great evening! We had a great time catching up with each other (uncles, aunties, cousins, young nephews and nieces, etc) I, for one thoroughly enjoyed the day spent with my family members, having a jolly great night with them!

My super smart cuz William and his brainy and capable wife Jiun Jen...what a lovely couple! (He's like a teddy bear to her petite figure)

And the camwhoring begun from the cocktail session..... :)

<3

Me and mommy dearest....

Mom and my favourite and super sporting Aunty Lucy

Having a jolly time with the free flow of soft drinks!

Me: What are you drinking, Roy?
Roy: WINE! (and with the smirk on his face)

Ah Kong and his beloved munchkin grandsons!

My beloved sister! I couldnt stop complimenting how gorgeous and pretty she was that night. How can it be possible that my beautiful lil sister is still single and unattached????? Hope she finds her prince charming soon...

The Yeoh siblings! Love them to bits!

The Yeoh clan :)

Finally a pic with the bride and groom! And that's my beloved Aunty Helen and Uncle CG (groom's parents)

The extended Yeoh clan :)

And YES! we all had a truly enjoyable night! Cant wait for the next wedding in the family...... :)
