Disappointment and recoveries...
Ordered this (above).....
But got this instead cos the former was too small and somehow it looks weird on me. The latter has got bigger rings and I finally settled for it. The ones in silver and gold interlocks doesnt come in a bigger size. Hence the purchase of the one with 2 silver interlocks.
So I would't say I was disappointed....I still got what I wanted..only some changes in colors and sizes. I'm still a happy woman over the weekend :)

A tree..finally....
The subsequent year - just got pregnant; hence wait for the baby's arrival!
The 3rd year - Zach's still so young., he probably doesnt understand what Christmas is all about, let alone a tree? So, no need to get it!
The fourth year - Christmas in Spore. No point getting it!
The fifth year - "I think it's about time we get that free we've been thinking about since 4 years ago!," I told hubby. "Zach, do you want a Christmas tree?" "Yes!"
So off we went hunting for one! First to Ikea for all the decoratives....was told it was cheaper there...maklumlah, semua benda mahal mahal sekarang....boleh jimat tu, jimat la setakat mana yang boleh! Couldnt find any tree there except for the real ones! No way! And buy another one next year? A waste of our precious money, isnt it?
Well, so we settled for a not-so-nice tree...or so we thought. Slightly cheaper but looks alright...a tree is still a freaking tree!!!!
There! Nice and steady.....a seven-footer...I'm a kiasu.....saw the 6 footer and thought it was too small....decided on the 7 footer! Now we are all towered by the tree in the house! It's a 8-footer plus that huge star!
Must admit that I miss those time we had decorating the tree at mom's place. It happens every single year...no miss!!!! We would excitedly take the tree out from the box and put up the decoratives one by one until the whole tree is full and nice. So being unable to do so for the past 4 years since I got married really got me missing the excitement of putting up the tree.
So there I was...sitting down there patiently opening up the leaves one by one and finally getting all the decoratives up and about! Not with some disturbance from my lil rascal every now and then and not to mention, some voice-raising on "Zach! Dont throw the balls like that. You are gonna break them!" "Zach! Stop pulling those leaves!" "Zach! dont shake the tree like that!" "Zach! don't touch those light bulbs!".....well....the stress about putting up a tree with a toddler around!
Finally! Our very own golden Christmas tree!
I'm all geared up for the celebration! Pressies to buy and wrap (the best part of all)..but before that....the agonising thoughts of what to buy for whom....urgh! It's never an easy task! Worse still for the men the family! It is just so difficult to find the right gifts for those guys! I've gone through the phase of getting belts, shirts, wallets, perfumes, towels, socks, key chains......any other ideas anyone? Nevertheless, I've always enjoyed buying gifts and sharing the love around tis season.....it's just so nice and fun to be giving and sharing during this joyful time of the year!

My 'other' new babies
Damier Azur Pochette Accessoires
Needless to say...I walked out of LV store @ Starhill, KL a much happier, and satisfied pregnant woman! .....but not with the intention to get back again some time later to get my hands on the Damier Hampstead bag (a spontaneous try; thanks to the sweet talk of the salesperson in there) my beloved hubby offered to get me earlier with the choice of forgoing the wallet for the much bigger and worthier bag! Errm.....I wouldnt use the word 'worthier' though cos Hampstead costs more than double the price we paid for the small lil wallet!
.....Neverfull???? 'a thing in the past' now that:-
1. I have tried on the sample available and realised it's not what I had in mind prior to stepping into the store
2. It's out of stock globally and they are not promising when the stocks will be available cos it's sort of a current madness worldwide for LV lovers.....hence, not meant to be for me!
3. I'm an impatient person. No such thing as putting a deposit for something and wait for months to own it!
4. I seem to have a connection with Damier Hampstead instead....hmmm, they rhyme!
Well, I settled for the wallet for I desperately need a new wallet to replace my much much old one and not to mention, to get myself prepared to match it with my new aim - Damier Hampstead! hahaha...who says a retail therapy is a good stress reliever? Well, it might work 'at that point of time', with that short moment of excitement but it can never last for long! We women can never have the word 'enough' engraved permanently in our vocab......especially when it comes to getting your hands on the things that you adore!
My next aim ( if I don't change my mind by then)
- Damier Hampstead GM
"You just have more things to get, don't you?", hubby questioned.
"Oh yes.....just look around..... these people are just brilliant creatures to come out with such wide range of collection!.....there's always something in the store which lure me into believing them with their voice calling out - "come, come come...come and get me!"
.... well, LV to me (and I'm sure to my other LV enthusiastic frens as well...u girls know who u are!) is just like sex to most men.......I can never get enough of it! muahahahahahaha....
...and there I was few weeks ago vowing not to spend too much anymore...tsk tsk tsk tsk tsk.....but then again, I'm pregnant! I deserve some pampering, don't I? That's my craving! *wink*

Benefit...again...
Well, It's a cover version of a very old song but Keith just hit it at the right note and makes it sound much much more soothing than the original version....he's such a gorgeous buttercup........Lucky Nicole!
Anyway, I have my own meaning behind those lyrics...I just cant stop loving Benefit! Yes my new found (not really new but definitely still my current fav brand of cosmetics) love for cosmetics! And I've burnt quite a hole in my pocket a couple of weeks ago with these purchases:
Recommended by my friend who's been using it for quite a while now. It gives the complexion a sense of glow and at the same time not creating a very visible pink blusher-like look cos I hate using blusher. This is just perfect to give my cheeks some natural glow of healthy-looking complexion. I was actually considering between getting this and 10 (in my wish list in my earlier post on Benefit too) - 10 is another complexion enhancer (dual-colored) and I guess the salesgirl just succeeded in persuading me to get Dandelion instead!
Need I mention further on this???
Those three lil things.....which hardly fill up big portion of my handbag cost me a freaking 400 bucks!!!! I know May must be quietly telling me..."See! I told u! U could have saved quite a lot if u order online!" I know wht u mean May! But purchasing it online just doesnt give me the thrill of getting it over the counter. I"m a very impatient person. Wht I want I'll make sure I get it right there n then. Cant stand the wait of ordering it today and getting the products 3 weeks later. The wait is just too excruciating for me! hahaha!
Yea..the foundation faker is my 2nd purchase.....like I said earlier...I just cant stop loving you.....N it's truly the best foundation I've ever had so far....Still loving it..!
As always, I have a wish list here for my subsequent shopping spree at the tiny Benefit Counter at Metrojaya, MidValley Megamall. Here's wht I'm planning to get soon........This is said to work as a face blotter to eradicate those shiny looking complexion caused by oily skin type. I was actually desperately tempted to get this together with my 3 purchases but felt the guilt deep down inside me to have fulfilled the quota of my credit card allocation for the day! hahahaha...so much for trying to save a mere RM145 or is it RM129? hahaha...well at least I dont have a RM500 mark on one bill! That makes quite a difference!

Spending $$
Gosh, I was just rummaging through my wallet to get rid of those receipts that I realised how much I've signed on my credit card this month! It's almost a whopping RM1700! Well, it might not be a lot for some people...but it's definitely quite an astonishing figure for me...cos apart from the card, I'm also kinda running out of cash in hand to last me til the end of this month! Damn! I hate myself for being such a spendrift! But I cant help it!!!
I was already telling myself that I shouldnt be spending that much money anymore cos I am planning to save some extra money to fulfill a desire that has been dwelling inside me for quite a while......that is to bring my parents for a holiday overseas...I really hope that this will come true in less than 2 yrs time! Well, can I do it???? tough mission to accomplish! But I shall make it happen anyhow!
And here I am spending like nobody's business! I really have to do something about fighting the urge/temptations/ or whtever shit that is prompting me to spend money!
I've even tried avoiding going out with friends/making plans to shopping malls just to avoid having more holes in my pocket but I cant seem to stop the urge altogether!
May, Xiu and I were just in One U on Sunday for a make-over session by Stila and I spent a total of RM260 for a freaking makeup/photography session and purchased some make-ups which I dont really need! And to add in salt to injury, I didnt really quite like the results of the pictures taken. Quite a huge regret! Damn!
Sometimes I would really feel the guilt of signing the card given as a supplementary by hubby. I know he meant well by giving me that card for emergency use and all....but I tend to misuse it every single month and end up having the worst guilt inside me and wishing that I didnt get too impulsive when making my purchases!
I think I'm a born with the shopaholic bug inside me! A disease which can never be cured and will continue to get worse instead! Hubby has been giving hints to me to cut down in the spending department and I'd make a vow every month that I'll cut down on my habit the following month but it never seem to happen.
Well, like every other month, I'm just gonna make the same vow now.......Spend less, save more!
I hope to accomplish this simple yet complicated mission next month and hopefully I shall have a higher increment in my savings account next month! *fingers crossed*
Note: No harsh comment needed tho. Save all your trouble. This is just an insight of my feelings right now!

Benefit from BENEFIT
Well, they are freaking cheap in the US! As low as USD18 for a cake of an amazing concealer! Imagine if it were to be priced at RM18 here! Anyway, I've got 2 products so far from their range and I fell totally in lurve with them the 1st time I used them! Yup! They are just magical and truly understand our needs in having something created to make us look better, and feel better!
They have cute names for the products as well!
Ok, I shall stop here before anyone thinks that I'm giving free publicity for BENEFIT~
What I have and have no regrets having.....
This totally works as the ultimate foundation for all skin type! I was searching for the right foundation to suit my complexion and have tried many brands and yet still not totally satisfied with their results until I found this - Some-kind-a-gorgeous Foundation Faker! It leaves my complexion totally smooth and naturally blended to create a flawless look, unlike others which give me a look like a porcelaine doll all made up and having the different shade from my neck!
This is the answer to having a lasting make-up! It works as a transluscent layer to prevent our make-up from smudging! I've always had the problem of having my eye-shadow being smudged after a few hours and then having my eyes looking like panda, especially the under circles. So this She-Laq is totally helpful in keeping my eye-shadow in place with a touch of gloss on them! It not only works on the eyes, it's also applicable for lipsticks, blusher and mascara! Isnt it great? To my understanding, it's the only products in the world to have such purposes!
What I'd like to have soon.....
eye con - (eye cream with fading action)
realness of concealness (all in 1 concealer mini kit)
Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer
10 - Sexy Sweep (*the name of the product is '10' itself)
Well, I've truly benefitted from BENEFIT! More to benefit from I'm sure!
I know myself pretty too well! I'd be tempted to get more! Think I've caught the shopping bug that is hard to rid off! Wait a minute......I think this bug has been parasiting in me for a very long long time.......well, it's still there happily sitting inside me and I'm sure it's not gonna leave me for a pretty long time.......

Adios~~~

Nov 27, 2006 - Week's Recap
Was at Jusco BBK, Klang on Friday (24th Nov) for some brief shopping....spent a total of around RM200 for the following items:-
1. A blue gypsie skirt
2. A pink pants
3. 2 pairs of white sandals from Vincci
Left the mall........with a hole in the pocket and of course....a SMILE on the face..
Saturday (25th Nov)
Spent some time with the husband and the son at SACC in Shah Alam...and yes! spent more money.....got some Christmas gifts.......think it's the earliest this time for me to start my Christmas shopping.....well....how am I supposed to turn down a great bargain? Sale started at some places...my friend once told me..... "it's not how much you spend, it's how much you save!"
dinner with the son and husband before putting the son to sleep and finally sneaked out for some catching up with friends at Gazebo, Subang Jaya. You know, the usual bitching and gossiping session.....was there from 10pm - 2am...could have chatted longer if not for the eyelids insisting a rest......
Sunday (26th Nov)
Gym from 11.30am til 1.30pm (I'm a member of Celebrity Fitness, Subang Parade)..not a favourite place to hang out on a Sunday but the husband had made me promise to agree to spend at least 2 hours there on Sundays with him...hence, no running away! Had my favourite workout - BODY COMBAT.
Hung around at Subang Parade......it's actually quite a nice place to hang out...not too packed and crowded like other malls....very relaxing and mind you, parking is never a problem there. well...when you are in a shopping mall, what do you do????? SPEND MONEY! got some more gifts from MPH.....
The husband bought a book entitled - "Malaysia and the club of Doom - The Collapse of The Islamic Countries" by Syed Akbar Ali. It's actually on the recommended list of MPH.
The book? well, it's an analysis by the author on the sorry state of Malaysia and Islamic countries around the world. It's quite a controversial book and we are surprised as how it could make its way into publication, esp. when the book revolves around condemnations on Islamic states and their rulers. And more surprisingly, it's written by a Muslim itself.
The husband managed to sum up some chapters to me about how one could actually seize its power and proclaim a state an Islamic ruled when there is no single power, except God Almighty posessed the absolute power to do so. It covers the subject on how the Quran is widely misinterpreted, hence the sufferings by its believers, esp. the oppressed women.
Well, the book sounds pretty interesting and perhaps it could really create an impact on the minds of Muslims in this country...afterall, the aim of the book, as penned down by the author is 'to make the country and perhaps the world a slightly better place'. I might soon read it to get a better insight and understanding on what the exact message the author is trying to convey to his readers.
signing off......
