Blogging fr iPhone!

OMG! we human r so spoilt nowadays! Convenience is the key word! Apps are being created n designed to suit our lifestyles n brought much covenience to us! From using the phone for basic teleconversation to sending short messages to video calls to chatting to emailing to tweeting to facebooking AND NOW - BLOGGING fr the phone! More to come i'm sure! Aaaah..... I love my iPhone :)......

They come, they speak, they conquer...

Yes....the title refers to my two munchkins.....
Sigh...time flies.....as cliche as it sounds, I hate to think that my two munchkins will soon fly off from my nest one day and I'll only see them on 'special' occasions? As much as I want to keep them by my side forever (which I know is impossible), I know very well they'll soon have their wings and venture out on their own, in search for their own life.....I wish the clock would stop at this time of my life when they are at their most adorable age.

Zach is starting to speak like an adult, and at the same time, still a kid....
Just yesterday, I had this encounter with him which made me wrote this post...I want to remember this moment.....

Zach: Mommy, my teacher said someone who talks a lot is "talkative"
Me: That's right
Zach: Then someone who fights a lot is "fightgative"
Me: Huh? Your teacher said that too?
Zach: No. I said.

I couldnt stop laughing after that and asked him why he said that...with his own rationale, he said "talkative" is for talking..."fightgative" is for fighting la.....

I love to have such 'enlightening' conversation with him.....he never failed to amaze and amuse me at the same time.....the things in a kid's mind - they can just be so innocently creative....

And Roy - THAT BOY'S BEEN TALKING NON-STOP!
And I really mean real human language! Haha!
U see, he was slow in talking as compared to Zach when he was at the same age...to a point where hubby and I, and our parents too, worried that he might have some speech difficulties. My parents actually told us to bring him in to the doctor for some speech therapy! Cos he was still blabbering in his own language on his 2nd birthday! Ok...think we might have had high expectations from him judging from the benchmark set by his big brother.....
Boy....just when we brought down our expectations a lil and practise the 'wait n see' attitude in thinking if we really should bring him to a speech therapist..........he started talking out of a sudden ONE fine day and it continues...... *phew* hahahaha
This only started happening last month! and to think tht the month before he barely wanted to follow what we say or asked him to repeat after us.....
Then it began.......

The ones which I treasure most at this very moment at his age are:

Mommy: I Love u, Roy
Roy: Love u, mommy (yes! he actually says this each time we say "I love u" to him - it would be "Love u, daddy" if it's fr daddy...)

Not to mention the times when he was given something or being helped...he's never stingy with his "thank you'"s..and it's not just 'thank you' it's always "Thank you, mommy" or "Thank you, daddy" or just to anyone who's given him things, etc......

Just the other day, he wanted me to help him cross some monkey bars at the playground. I helped carry him while he moved his hands and legs, reaching from one end to the other and when he finally got to the other end, he actually uttered "Thank you, mommy".
I was speechless! It was totally unexpected..... That goes to show that he truly understands the meaning of "Thank you" and uses it correctly!
Those moments just melt my heart and they are PRICELESS....

And he could recognise all 26 alphabets!...progressing to numbers now.....a huge improvement from not talking at all to being able to point out the ABCs on the newspapers with me each time I read!
not to mention his favourite food - chocolate, milk, biscuit, bread, vitagen (some mispronounciations here and there but he's finally TALKING!)

Yes..u could say that I'm very excited with his sudden progress.....cos it IS INDEED a very sudden transformation in his speech pattern. Guess after being a mother for 5 years, I'm still amazed at how babies, toddlers and kids develop in their milstones as they grow....from flipping to their front, to crawling, walking, running, jumping, blabbering, talking AND answering back!

Boy...I just love and treasure these moments spent with my boys......
well, there are moments too when I feel like strangling them at times...... but hey! tht's what kids are....
they come, they speak, they conquer!
