Cooking for the ones I love...

It was the first of the only 2 weekends we hav this CNY and I decided to whip up a simple meal for my family members. It was meant to be a small affair but I guess I got overwhelmed and over-invited my guests. I was panic-stricken when I realised that I had to prepare a feast for 38 people - children included though...

Anyway it turned out to be a success and I'm proud to say that everything went well and we all had a great Time! A much meaningful evening spent with family members; some whom I only see once or twice a year.....

Prepping up.......

Some of the food that were served.....I got too excited that night that I totally forgot to snap a pic when all the food were served at the dining table...

If you may wonder what were served, menu was:

1. Coleslaw
2. Potato salad
3. Tuna casserole (recipe from my beloved BFF)
4. Creamy Mushroom soup with baguette
5. Keropok lekor (flown in all the way from my hubby's hometown - Terengganu) *ya I know this is a bit off the Western menu planned*
6. And of cos...cookies, wine, beer and soft drinks! :)

Dinner was good. Guests were fed. So what was next??????

Whats a CNY without these???? Hehe. *cheat: big notes were placed on purpose to enhance the look of the pic* - untuk gaya saje....hehehe

He actually conquered a seat! Such a cute scene! Hehe......and then a few minutes later.....

He was joined by his ko ko......

So that wraps up a gathering at my place for family ONLY....another round next week for FRIENDS... :)

More recipes

I've finally forced myself to sit down and type out some of the recipes which I've back-logged since my last post (a few months back) in a recipe blog I share with my girlfriends - Pink Apron Goddess (PAG)

Food Blog

The MGS gang has came up with a brilliant idea of creating a food blog where each and every one of us is welcomed to contribute to the blog....
Reason for such blog is for us to share our recipes, our mothers' recipes or even our grandmothers' recipes in bringing home closer to some of us who are abroad and miss home-cooked food. Or simply, for the fun of sharing our culinary talents/experiences/encounters with each other, as well as friends who are not in the MGS circle ;)
